On July 23^rd, 2007, Mr. Guo Wensan, Chairman of Conch Group visited Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (hereinafter called as “XAUAT”), accompanied by Mr. Guo Jingbin, Vice GM of Conch, Mr. Liu Tiantian, Director of General Affairs Office and Mr. Yang Kaifa, Director of Secretariat of Board. Mr. Xu Delong, President and Professor of XAUAT & Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, gave a warmly reception to Conch delegation,  and Mr. Xu Qiming, Dean of School of Material Science & Engineering of XAUAT, Mr Sang Kuanxing, Secretary of CPC XAUAT Committee, Mr. Li Huimin, Dean of College of Vocational Technology of XAUAT and Mr. Shao Bilin, Director of President Office of XAUAT also participated the whole visit.

Firstly, hosts and guests had a kind and friendly meeting to exchange each party’s general information and review their long cooperation history. Two parties consistently deemed that they could carry out wide cooperation to push China cement industry structure adjustment and technology upgrading, to energetically develop recycle economy and to fulfill energy thrift and emission reduction etc, based on XAUAT’s scientific research advantage and CONCH’s engineering advantage. Meanwhile, Ccnch could provide jackaroo and training base for XAUAT and XAUAT could provide short term training for Conch middle and senior cadres. By this cooperation, XAUAT and CONCH could jointly bear responsibilities to bring up creationary talents for China building materials industry. Two parties interchange gifts and agreed that they would sign a strategic cooperation agreement at proper time

After then, President Xu accompanied Chairman Guo to visit Jia Ping’ao Literature Art Museum, Architecture Show Museum and Powder Engineering Research Institute. During the visit, Chairman Guo also took part in a conversazione, participated by relevant scientific research personnel, teachers and graduate students, to know newest scientific research achievement of XAUAT.
