At 14:28 on May 12, a magnitude of 7.8 strong earthquakes hit Wenchuan county, Sichuan province, southwest of China, the earthquake affected many provinces and area, the people's safety in the disaster area were affecting Anhui Conch Group all the time. When Conch Group learned about the information, Conch Group staffs participated in donation action to assist disaster area relief work.

The donation action held in the more 90 subsidiary of Conch Group in East China, South China's nine provinces and one city at the same time.

Conch Group departments sponsored donations for earthquake relief work, leaders of Conch Group in company personally led to participate in scene donation, leaders outside the company for business trip entrusted other people to donate.

Until news dispatched, Conch Group’s donations summed up to

RMB2,650,000. Conch Group donated RMB1,150,000, staff personally in the Anhui province donated RMB850,000, these donations were transferred through Anhui Provincial Civil Affairs Bureau to earthquake disaster area; staff personally outside the Anhui province donated RMB650,000, including Guangxi region RMB90,000, Guangdong region RMB150,000, Jiangxi region RMB45,000,  Hunan region RMB35,000, Shanghai region RMB115,000, Zhejiang region RMB70,000, southern of Jiangsu region RMB55,000 and northern of Jiangsu region RMB90,000, the donations were  transferred through the local Civil Affairs Bureau or the charity organization to the earthquake disaster area.

Conch Group's staffs indicated that they would base personal post, do better themselves duty, produce more high-quality cement, raise the general countryside house construction quality, raise resisting natural disaster and emergency capability, offer the high quality building materials product, assist earthquake relief work by their practical action.

During donation action, Conch Group respectively sent condolatory telegram to related local government in earthquake disaster area. Conch Group expressed, with rescue work advancement, they would continue to cooperate with social various department, make the active contribution for the disaster area reconstruction, bear big enterprise’s social responsibility.
