——The WHG unit of Siam Cement Group constructed by Conch Group is successfully put into operation

The ceremony layout was traditionally decorated according to the Thai style. More than 300 people, including the governor of Saraburi province and members of concerning provincial departments, the president of Conch Group Guo Wensan, delegation members, such as, Li Shun’an, Ji Qinyin and He Chengfa , and staff of Siam Cement Group.

In the ceremony, President of Conch Group Guo Wensan gave a warm speech. On behalf of the company, he congratulated the Siam Cement Group on its successful commencement of the fist set WHG unit, and appreciated the help from them to Conch engineers during construction period. He pointed out the successful commencement of the WHG unit was an epoch-making event for the cooperation between Siam and Conch, which was also a great opportunity that could be seized. He hopes the cooperation and communication can be strengthened and extended for boosting mutual development, and brings new contributions for cement industry in the aspects of technology update, energy conservation and emission reduction.

Mr. Thawatchai, the Governor of Sarasuri also addressed in the ceremony. He expressed his congratulations on the successful commencement of this project, pointing out that the first set of WHG project of Siam Cement Group was very beneficial, which set a successful example for energy conservation and emission reduction in Thailand.

Mr. Pramote, the president of Siam Cement Group, made an indebted address saying that he was very glad for the WHG unit was successfully put into operation and met the designing standard shortly, He also appreciated all the people involving with this project. He pointed out that Siam Cement Group would be able to improve the efficiency of resource utilization, greatly cut down the production cost and promote the company’s sustainable development since this project is completed, which was in accord with their business philosophy of “innovative organization, excellent team management and sustainable development”.

The generation capacity of WHG units are stabled above 9200KW, which surpassed the designing capacity of 9100 KW.

The WHG project of KK6 Kiln in Siam Cement Group is Conch’s first engineering procurement construction project overseas. The successful completion of this project shall provide precious experience for future international projects.
