Recently, Nanjing Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) and six industrial enterprises, including China Cement Plant, had signed an agreement named “The Voluntary Energy-conservation and Emission-reduction Agreement By Industrial Enterprises”. This was the second cooperation between China Cement plant and NEPA. According to this agreement, from the beginning of 2008 to the end of 2009, relevant enterprises would boost their unit production efficiency by 5%, and diminish the emission by 3% every year. By the organization and implementation of the Energy-conservation and Emission reduction program, enterprises would comprehensively display their images as environment-protectors and gain their social honors.

Meanwhile, the foreign expert showed his concern about the company’s 24MW WHG which was still under construction, and highly regarded Conch Group for its efforts towards energy-saving, emission-reduction and promotion of recycling economy.
