On morning of Sep 6^th, which was a warm and mild day, standing member of the Political Bureau of Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee, secretary of CPC Central Committee for Discipline Inspection Wu Guanzheng headed the people in charge of the parties concerned, visited Conch, accompanied by secretary of Anhui Committee of CPC Guo Jinlong, Anhui governor Wang Jinshan, standing member of Anhui Committee of CPC and secretary of Anhui Committee of CPC for Discipline Inspection Liu ChunLiang, standing member of Anhui Committee of CPC and secretary of Wuhu committee of CPC Zhan Xialai and others. This was the second time for Secretary Wu to visit Conch after his visit to Wuhu Conch Profile Science and Technology Company Limited on Feb 8^th,2004.

Conch Group leaders,Guo Wensan, Li Shun’an, Yu Biao, Guo Jingbin, Ren Yong, Ji Qinying, Zhu Zhongping, leaders of Anhui Conch Cement Company Limited. Qi Shengli, Wang Pengfei and leaders of Wuhu Cement Company limited gave a warm reception.

At 8:40, Secretary Wu arrived at the site of Wuhu Conch Cement Company limited where had 4 x 5000 t/d new dry process clinker production lines were running orderly. On the way to the Central Control Room(CCR), Secretary Wu enjoyed the well-protected environment and the combination of the scenery of humanities and natural landscape.

In front of the exhibition board of CCR, board chairman Guo Wensan, reported Conch’s development, enterprise scale, brand influence, latest technology, and the contribution on the adjustment of the national cement industrial structure, especially the achievements that Conch made on cycling economy, WHG and waste burning power generation project, which attracted Secretary Wu and other leader’s attention.

When they reached the CCR, Secretary Wu and relevant leaders received warm regards coming from the operators, leaders and technicians of Conch.

They compliment with smile. Secretary Wu watched carefully and asked earnestly, he watched the process monitors while understood about

circs of production process and equipment operation, temperature of the rotary kiln, raw meal proportion, ways of quality inspection and other details of the new dry process production etc.

Secretary Wu lingered around in CCR, which showed his appreciation and regards on Conch. He highly praised that it was not an easy job for a cement enterprises to become forefront in the world and top 1 in Asia. It was right to “close small cement plants and build larger cement plant” which was in accordance with the spirit of cycling economy, energy thrift and emission reduction.

After stepping out of the CCR, Secretary Wu took photos with the relevant leaders as a souvenir. In the afternoon, board chairman Guo Wensan took part in the reporting meeting arranged by Anhui Committee of CPC and Anhui Government at the Wuhu Tieshan Hotel. In the evening secretary Wu inscribed for Conch group, “ Deploitation Innovation, Rapid Development, Clean Water and Blue Sky, Enterprises Harmonious”

On the Sep 7th morning, leaders of Anhui Committee of CPC and Anhui Government accompanied by board chairman Guo Wensan saw secretary Wu off.

In the Sep 7 afternoon, Committee of CPC of Conch Group convoked theory study conference, transmitting Secretary Wu’s investigation circs on Conch. People attending the conference expressed excitedly that secretary Wu’s trip was of great inspiration and impetus to all staff of Conch .Conch would take it as a promoting force to receive better social and financial benefits and contribute more to stimulate Anhui province fast development.
