At 20:38, 30Nov., Chizhou Conch first 17000kW waste heat recovery power generation plant (WHG) was put into operation successfully after 8 months construction and start trial production. Until 12 Dec, the plant had yielded 1.96 million kWh electricity and the system is running smoothly now.

This project is the third WHG designed independently and successfully by Conch itself after the operation of Ningguo WHG of 9100kW and Jiande WHG of 8300kW. The project which started construction on 20 March is equipped for 2*5000tpd clinker lines and adopts the low temperature WHG technology from Kawasaki in Japan. Waste heat in exhaust gas can be transferred into high temp. super-heated steam by means of high efficiency boilers to drive the turbine and generator for power generation. The system is equipped with 4 boilers and 1 TG of 17000kW, and designed for 36.67 kWh per ton clinker.

As the first WHG of 4 boilers and big scale, and with the disadvantage of short construction period and heavy working duty, in order to ensure the operation time target, Chizhou Conch held the onsite coordination meeting and arranged the detailed construction schedule in reversed time sequence according to general time requirement of the project. The company arranged the major technicians, assigned the people in charge of construction quality tracking, issued encouragement and penalty rules for civil and installation contractors, required the contractors to enrich the construction resources to make all effort to let the project general schedule under control.

By the efforts from all parties, the project started commissioning on 22 Nov, and began interrun at 20:38 on 30 Nov.
