At 21:38 on 27 Feb, Zongyang Conch 18300kW waste heat recovery power generation plant (WHG) for 2×2500t/d and 5000t/d clinker lines was put into operation successfully at first startup, and began to generate electricity for the Company. The successfully running of WHG will become a new profit promoting resource for Zongyang Conch.

As one of the main WHGs which started construction work in last year, civil work of Zongyang Conch first WHG project started from June last year, and ready for equipment installation in Nov last year, then the installation contractor company entered the site on 8 Nov,2006. This project is the first successful WHG project equipped for 3 clinker lines with only 1 WHG system, as well as the project of biggest capacity, heaviest construction work and shortest construction period among the WHG projects already put into operation in Conch Group.

Zongyang Conch paid great attention to this project, played a good role as the owner company, adopted seriously all the successful management  experience from the previous operated WHG projects, made the plan in advance, communicated with design institute on its own initiative, carried out the optimizing work of drawings, prepared the detailed node schedule, participated the preparing of test running, and enhanced the skill training of operators and patrol workers. All these work done by Zongyang Conch had built up a solid base for the success of the project.
