Sincerely hope Conch people to keep on working hard and establish Conch into global brand

On morning of January 12th,the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), President of China and Chairmen of the Central Military Commission, Hu Jintao inspected Conch Group during his series of surveys in Anhui Province despite of severe winter weather and continuous drizzle. His tour likes the warm spring breeze made Conch people feel good and inspiring.

The General Secretary led some other leaders to inspect Conch Group, including Ling Jihua, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee (CPCCC) and Director of the General Office of the CPCCC; Wang Huning, member of the Secretariat of the CPCCC and Director of Policy Research Office of the CPCCC; Zhu Zhixin, Director of the Office of the Central Leading Group on Financial and Economic Affairs. Leaders from Anhui Province accompanied this trip，Wang Jinshan, Secretary of CPC Anhui Committee; Wang Sanyun, acting Governor; Wang Mingfang, Deputy Secretary of CPC Anhui Committee; Xu Liquan, standing member of CPC Anhui Committee and Secretary of Anhui Politics and Law Committee; Zhan Xialai, standing member of CPC Anhui Committee and Secretary of CPC Wuhu Committee etc.

The inspected site is a 4*5,000t/d cement production lines plant, by the name of Wuhu Conch Cement Co., Ltd, which took Conch Group 25 months to complete its construction. There were large area of greens, tidy and clean roadways and orderly operated machines. Banners, such as, “Comprehensively implement the spirit of the 17th National Congress of the CPC, strive to achieve good and fast development on economy and society”, “Vigorously develop the circular economy and build a resource-saving and environment-friendly enterprises”, and “Adhere to the scientific development, implement the energy-saving and emission reduction policy” were noticeably decorated here and there.

At 09:38, when the light bus arrived at the CCR of Wuhu Conch Cement Co.,Ltd, the casually-dressed General Secretary got off the light bus, Conch Group Chairman Guo Wensan stepped up holding Hu’s hand and said: “Nice to meet you,  I’m Guo Wensan, the Chairman of Conch Group Committee of the CPC, Chairman of the board and General Manager of Conch Group.” The General Secretary kindly responded: “Nice to meet you, too.” When the General Secretary came into the hall of the CCR, Chairman Guo Wensan firstly reported Wuhu Conch’s project plan and brief information. Referring to the content of the display board, he briefly reported the reform and development of Conch Group and the basic information of its three major industries. He said: “For the past few years, in accordance with the requirements of CPC of Anhui Committee and Government, we put more efforts on energy saving and emission reduction, we are also planning to get all the production lines equipped with the WHG. The investment on environmental protection takes 30% of our total investment amount. We have benefited a lot from the development of recycling economy.”

The General Secretary carefully listened to Mr.Guo Wensan’s introduction, nodded from time to time and turned around to look towards the running cement production line of Wuhu Conch. Mr. Guo Wensan pointed at those equipments and introduced them one by one, such as, kiln and grinding mill. He also introduced the process of the cement production.

Then, in front the cement bulletin, Mr. Guo Wensan reported the basic information of cement production and Conch’s world ranking in cement industry. The General Secretary asked:“Which is the biggest cement company around the world?” Mr.Guo Wensan answered: “It is Lafarge from France” When the General Secretary came to the WHG bulletin, which displayed one of the ten national energy-saving projects, Mr.Guo Wensan reported the implementation of the internally leading WHG technology which jointly developed by Conch Group and Japan Kawasaki Heavy Industrial Ltd., and also some basic information of energy-saving and emission reduction.

When Mr.Guo Wensan was reporting the content of the chemical building materials, the General Secretary opened the sample window while listening. After a serious inspection, he asked: “How much do plastic-steel windows and doors cost?” Mr.Guo Wensan answered: “Its cost is lower than those of wood and aluminum .”. The General Secretary then asked: “Are they made of PVC?” “Yes.” responded by Mr.Guo Wensan. “How many profiles production lines does your company have?” The General Secretary continued asked, “More than 300 lines.” Mr. Guo Wensan answered. In the hall of the first floor, the General Secretary asked the detailed information about our national cement production. Mr.Guo Wensan reported that the development of China's cement industry was still not balanced, that is to say, the eastern regions now have basically completed its restructure, however, the restructure of the central region was still on its way and the western region's structural adjustment only just began. “It’s still hard to meet people’s demands for cement, especially, for the one with high quality. It will take a long time to complete the structure adjustments. We are proposing to develop the new dry cement vigorously.” Mr.Guo Wensan said. The General Secretary agreed with his opinion and told Zhu Zhixin accompanied his trip, “this issue concerning restructuring of the cement industry, requires us to compress those small but highly energy-consuming and pollution-producing cement factories, and accelerate the elimination of backward cement production.” Subsequently, the General Secretary was led by Mr.Guo Wensan going to the CCR on the third floor. On his way, the General Secretary asked about the cement industry structure and distribution, Mr.Guo Wensan answered his questions one by one. In front of the airscape of Wuhu Conch display board, the General Secretary enquired the basic information about the production plan of Wuhu Conch. Then, when he came into the central control room, Mr.Guo Wensan introduced other company’s leaders who were waiting to greet him in the CCR, such as, the General Manager Ren Yong and Deputy General Manager Wang Pengfei of Anhui Conch Cement Co., Ltd.

In front the console, the General Secretary detailed inspected the operation of the production line. Mr. Wang Pengfei reported the general information about Wuhu Conch Cement Co., Ltd. Mr. Guo Wensan reported that this factory only had 700 people， per capital cement output was over 10,000 tons annually.

The General Secretary asked: “The domestication of your 5,000 t/d production line is no problem, and what about your new 12,000 t/d production line’s domestication?” Mr. Guo Wensan replied: "We are carrying out technical exchanges. For improving labor productivity, we only need to import the large mine equipment, the domestication can achieve more than 80 percent.” The General Secretary expressed satisfaction after listening.

The General Secretary came to exhibition table laying cement and admixture sample, opened a cement sample container, carefully inspected the sample in the hands and then gently put back, covered the lid and asked: “Is this Portland Cement 525?” “Yes", Mr. Guo Wensan answered and detailed reported the application of Conch Cement in the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, nuclear power station and other key projects, and circs of the cement process by using admixture materials.

Combining with the process flow diagram, Mr. Guo Wensan reported the waste incineration industrialization to the General Secretary, and the process, technical characteristics and technical innovations about WHG. The General Secretary asked about the temperature of kiln inlet. Mr. Guo Wensan replied that the temperature of kiln inlet was 300℃, after the implementation of WHG, the temperature dropped below 200℃, the waste heat has been fully utilized.

At the cement production technology exhibition, Mr. Guo Wensan detailed reported the General Secretary about the new dry process clinker production, and compared the new dry process with the traditional vertical kiln, wet process clinker production. The General Secretary asked: “Do you use coal as fueling?” Mr. Guo Wensan answered， “Yes, the oil is also used in foreign countries.”

The General Secretary asked: “Is 12000t/d production line the world's largest?” Mr. Guo Wensan answered: “12,000 t/d production line is constructing in the United States.” The General Secretary asked: “How many 5,000 t/ d in China, not include the 2000t/d production lines?” Mr. Ren Yong answered: “More than 200.”After listening to the report about the exhibition table, the General Secretary said to Mr. Zhu Zhixin who accompanied, “The original small cement plants have no way to develop, which can now be converted into grinding plant. We can build clinker plant where mining and energy is good."

After visiting the CCR, the General Secretary actively shook hands with the young operators, happily said: “You are all young people.” When the General Secretary came to the lobby on the first floor from the third floor, Conch leaders including Yu Biao, Guo jingbin, Wang Jun, Ji Qinying, Zhu Zhongping, He Chengfa, Wang Jianchao, Zhang Mingjing, some other leaders of relevant departments and subsidiaries, the representatives of the model workers and advanced individuals, with a total number of 50 lined up saluting with eyes to the General Secretary with thunderous applause. The General Secretary shook hands with leaders in the front, some comrades from the back stretched out their hands excitedly and greeted to him: “General Secretary!”

Before leaving, the General Secretary stopped and came to the farewell people, said loudly: “I hope Conch people to keep on working hard, and establish Conch into global brand, can you?” All Conch people answered in unison, “Yes!” The General Secretary smiled happily, and then hold the microphone from by Mr. Guo Wensan, said kindly: “the Spring Festival is coming: I wish you a happy Spring Festival, good health, success in work and a happy family!”

At 10:15, the General Secretary got on the bus, opened window and waved goodbye. At the sight of being reluctant of part, the team slowly left. The cadres and workers of Conch Group agreed that the General Secretary’s visiting was a fully confirmation of the Group’s work and achievement on reform and development over the years. It was not only the glory of Conch people, but also the glory of the China building materials industry.

All Conch people warmly talked about the experience to see the General Secretary. All expressed that, seeing and listening to the General Secretary was a great happiness in their life. All indicated that, they must convey the General Secretary’s greeting and expectations to every Conch people.

Take the General Secretary’s solicitude as the impetus of the company’s reform and development; staid carry out the spirit of the 17th Party Congress, further implement the scientific development concept, vigorously develop the circular economy, increase energy saving and emission reduction efforts, constantly enhance the capability of independent innovation, make cement industry main section and chemical building materials strong, strive to establish Conch into global brand, actualize the good and fast development of the enterprises.
