At the beginning of the New Year, one more good news hit Conch Group. With the supports of relative departments, Shanghai sales company won the bid of supplying 1,590,000 tons cement for A and B strips of Shanghai A15, A16 Expressway Project.

The A15 and A16 expressways belong to an enormous project for the Shanghai World Expo, 3/4 of which shall be consisted of viaducts and bridges. Meanwhile,it has been also committed to purchase the most cement as an individual project in Shanghai so far. This project is about to start in the first quarter of 2008, main construction of which will be accomplished in Sep, 2009. As a part of this project, the A15 expressway, as long as 83.5 km, or the longest expressway to be constructed ever in Shanghai, will go through the whole city.And the A16 expressway, starting from the west side of A30 main viaduct in the east, has met the Suzhou strip of Suhu expressway in the west. The length of A16 will be around 7.76 km.

At the beginning of 2007, when they noted that the projects have been included in the basic construction planning of Shanghai, Shanghai sales company began to track actively. Under the guidance of the relevant department such as sales department, and also according to the characteristics of procurement of cement and short construction period, they formulated a detailed program of the tender and, ultimately, won among the 12 tender units, received the recognition of the owners.
