On the afternoon of May 1, 2008, the open traffic ceremony of world famous Hangzhou Bay Cross-Ocean Bridge was held nearby the bridge sea platform. The bridge constructor, thousands of cadres and people of Ningbo, Jiaxing attended the open traffic ceremony, reporters from other countries in the world aimed the “big dragon” lied in Yangtse Delta Area by their lens to witness this historical time arrival.

“Conch Cement” was the biggest cement supplier for the world first cross-ocean bridge, the project was made of “conch logo” cement, which amounted to 400,000 tons.

The cement for main parts of Hangzhou Bay Cross-Ocean Bridge took public tender in July 2003. After the intense competitive tender, “Conch Cement” won the supply right for SN1 tender section (north shore, sea tender section) for its good quality and honest service, the quantity was about 400000tons, accounted for the bridge cement content 2/3.

Hangzhou Bay Cross-Ocean Bridge is the longest cross-ocean bridge. It is also the symbol of cross sea bridge construction in china. The bridge with a total length of 36 kilometers is from north Cixi of Ningbo city to Haiyan of Jiaxing city. Its completion accelerated the Yangtse Delta Area economy and society's integration directly, sped up the step to the world-class city cluster.
